Dave Johnson and I are really big fans of 60's paperback and magazine illustration and have talked about working on something together for a while.This seemed like the perfect project! I did a quick (one day) painting in a 60's Bob Abbett (look him up) paperback style and Dave mushed it all together digitally with his normal stunning design sense. This was fun, especially since I've never painted a NYC cop before, even though I was one! Go figure!!
